Photography

There is no stock photography on this site. Not behind a heading, not as texture, not as filler. Every image is either the farm, the product, a dealer's shelf, or a grower's own result.

That is unusual, and it is deliberate. It is easy to buy a picture of somebody else's golden-hour field and let it stand in for yours. We would rather show fewer pictures and have all of them be true, on a site whose whole argument is that we publish what we can actually back up.

The build enforces it rather than trusting us to remember: the site will not compile if a stock image is added.

  The dump truck tipping, the graded yard, pallets of finished product, nursery rows under shade cloth.

• Product

  Bag shots of both products, front and back.

• Retail and proof

  Bagged product on the shelf at stocking dealers, and a side-by-side comparison grown with and without the compost.

• People

  A McCormick at the delivery truck; a man and a child spreading compost into a raised bed.

• Growers’ own results

  Before-and-after photographs taken by customers in their own gardens, dated on the picture, shared with us on Facebook and Instagram.

It is a working set rather than a polished one — taken on the yard, in the rows and at the back of a truck, mostly on a phone. More is coming.
